Utilizing stackable crates or containers for extra space is one of the most efficient ways to do so. Ranging in many different shapes and sizes you can use them to create more space for your shoes in the closet by placing loose items on the shelves and floor inside.  Also, most of us have old clothes hanging in the closet. Having the crates during your organization process is useful as well. You can have a crate for things you would like to keep or hang and crates for clothes to trash or donate. 

Color Choice

When styling your apartment, color choice is vital to opening up the room. Light, more airy colors give the room a more open effect. Specific colors to try are tones of blue and green. 

Monochromatic color schemes paired with woven upholstery fabrics are a match made in heaven for making smaller rooms appear larger to the eye. 

Let There Be Light

Letting enough light into the room has a kind of “letting-the-outside-in “ effect. A way to play this even further is by having reflective surfaces in the room like a mirror against a wall or tables with a reflective glass trim.
