Winter is right around the corner! We at Aperto Property Management are excited to help you prep to move in the winter. Check out the checklist below for suggestions that can aid in moving in cold weather.
How To Prep For Moving In The Winter
A task to consider when moving in the winter is to plan. Make time to put together a task list to help when prepping to move. Some tasks to include that will help prepare you to move in the winter are the following:
- Clear walkways and aisle ways before moving furniture into the apartment.
- Check the weather daily and plan for inclement weather.
- Pack ahead of time, making sure to get rid of any extra items no longer needed.
Feel free to use the task list above as a guide to help as the moving day approaches.
Prepping For The Cold In Your New Apartment
Follow these tips to help you prepare for the cold weather in your apartment. Be sure to weatherize your apartment. You can purchase weatherizing kits in your community at any hardware store near the Aperto community. Weatherizing your apartment also keeps gas and energy costs down. We recommend wearing extra layers of clothing to bed to stay warm; wear warm clothing such as sweaters or thermals when moving around in your new residence. You can always keep warm socks or house shoes on your feet when walking through your apartment or use heavy blankets in bed or on the couch to keep warm.
Getting Ready for The Cold
With chillier weather on the way, it’s important to prepare your new residence at any of our communities at Aperto. Prepping to move in the winter has many challenges. Feel free to use the suggestions listed to help make your move a little easier and hassle-free.
